So I was having a pretty good day today. I got my house all cleaned and even baked some fabulous peanut butter cookies with chocolate dove centers! I was looking forward to a nice relaxing evening with the kids while the hubby is off fulfilling his calling for scouts. (cue the ominous music) dun, dun, dun.... The phone rings. This is how the phone call goes.
Him: Honey ?
Me: Yes....
Him: Our activity fell through
Me: "that's too bad" (I really am thrilled but would never say so) are you coming home?
Him: Well, yeah but can we come back to the house and have our activity there?
Me : Are you really asking me? (Anyone that knows my hubby can tell you, he doesn't ASK for things often. He is more of a do it and ask forgiveness later kind of a guy.)
Him: Ummmm no.... we are almost there I just thought I would give you a heads up.
2 hours later all 15 of them are still here, yelling their heads off in the basement. I have since made a pizza run. Cleaned up after the plague of locust ate all 6 pizzas and 4 bags of crazy bread, in under 2 minute, and hide my delicious hersey's kiss cookies that have magically dwindled from 4 doz to about 8.
Can I tell you I am so happy that I only have one little boy!

That's funny! I have to say, sometimes I get pretty sad that I have all girls and have missed out on a boy, and all I have to do to make those sad thoughts go away is look at the deacons for about 5 seconds. But they do grow up eventually!
I'm sorry Karen! That totally sucks...i feel for you. I have cub scouts tonight and I am dreading it. That just means that we get lots of girls night for him torturing you with all of those stinky boys...
Wish I lived closer-I would come over and help you eat your cookies and I would go down and be your tall, scary back up to yell at the boys and tell them to get the heck out of your house, because after all, isn't that what friends are for?
